{Inspired by many things}

Ok so I have been wanting to make this style of necklace for a long time now, but with the numerous projects that I seem to start, it has only been in the last week or so I have had a chance.  It has been inspired by numerous things, and it sums my style up quite well - it is feminine while still be unique and a little different and is suited to many occasions.

I am thinking yellow, green {of course} and orange might be the next colours I make.
 What do you think?

Sneek peaks

Here are a few projects that have been taking palce in our household the past few weeks.
I can't take any credit for the first one, my husband sanded then re-painted our dining table whith a white-wash to give it an antique look.  He is quite proud of how it turned out.

Ok here is a sneek peak of one of the cane chairs that I am repainting, do you like the colour? I have found the cutest flower cushion in Kmart that I think will look cute on them, and for $10 how can I say no?

Speaking of bargains, the below tealight holders I got from Kmart for .75c each!

I want to put these on the dresser in our bedroom.  That is another project all together, detail on that one later.

So what have you been working on lately?

Homegrown goodness

Ok so I can't claim to have spent hours slaving away over a veggie patch like so many others {jealous that I don't have a garden} but we are lucky enough to live in a rental that has numerous fruit trees.  Here is the first pickings, though most of them are not quite ready yet.  One of our trees hangs over the side fence, last week when I went around there to pick the garlic that was growing {with no work from us} and I heard someone say "not long and they will be ready" I look up and there is an elderly man picking the nectarines off the tree! the nerve I thought, but apparently because they are hanging over they technically they are for the taking.
Don't they just look delicious?
Now just close your eyes, take a deep breath and imagine you can smell their juicy flesh!

I wasn't the only one who enjoyed them, Harri was loving them too!

Trash to treasure no. 2

Ok ok so I have a fetish for re-vamping old furniture lately, and my next project has definately got me excited.  About 2-3weeks ago I went to my local tip shop and found TWO cane chairs! I have been hunting for some of these for ages, thank you Christmas for giving people the need to clean out the old to make room for the new!

So I have not yet had a chance to paint them, however I have bought the paint and ma just waiting for a sunny day and for Harri to sleep for more than an hour and I will be all set.  I have chosen a bright green by Dulux called 'limelight'  it is actually more of a light green.  Oh I am so excited I hope that the image in my head can translate to the chairs, with some white cushions they will look great, definately a fun way to add colour to a room, especially when renting like me.

I am really into bright colours of late but am a bit reluctant to re -decorate, so this will be the perfect solution, and if they are just too out there I can just paint them white and try again {or leave them white}.

So stay tuned my beautiful crafty bloggers, the fun starts now!
